The Playboys-13, formally known as the Rabbit Gang to its members is a viciously dominated Mexican-American faction that was established during the 1970's near Eastern Los Santos, in particular near the lower strip of Brogue Avenue, hence the name “Brogue Avenue Playboys 13”. On the streets, their culture was based around the Chicanos of the 1950's, the name “Conejos” or Rabbit in Spanish was adopted by the older generations in the clique due to the fact as the largest set, Mara Salvatrucha had established the common standard for the Chicano culture, the Playboy Sureños were initially the first rudimentary set to reject abiding to the Chicano standard, and took part of many street wars due to the fact. In addition, before turning to a more violent path, the Playboys started off as a car club known as the "Eastern Latin Playboys Car Club." The Brogue Avenue Playboys take part in extortion, drug trafficking and disputes over territory. The Playboys also carry out activities such as selling opium-related painkillers to randoms, or making larger deals with allied sets as their main infrastructure was built around it. They're known for their high death count and the violence that goes behind their name as they engage in different degrees of murders, drive-by shootings, firearm trafficking and assassinations. It's known that cliques and sets around Brogue Avenue, the Playboys distribute narcotics around the turf as their main source of revenue however, they do not hesitate when it comes toward attacking any rival sets who occupy their territory. A more relevant example of this comes toward the dispute between the Hang Out Boyz located on the West-Side of Los Angeles. The H.O.B are additionally allied with the 55-Bunch which the Playboys were well known opposition with. Locals of Brogue Avenue say that the Playboys are known for the tentative and ambiguous action that arises in shootouts between their opposition.
The bloodshed that has emerged throughout the years of activity that the Playboys have shown, led towards them forming disunions against various sets and cliques. Brogue Avenue and different parts of Los Santos are where members of the Playboys start street wars with, and their foremost enemies consist of the 55-Bunch, a well known dispute between the two gangs that have arisen throughout the years of activity. The Bunch’s allies, the Hang Out Boyz are another key opposition towards the Playboys, as they have formed an alliance to try to overpower the Playboys-13. Although it may seem as if the Playboys only contest the majority of the larger gangs, they’re known to beef with smaller sets such as the 41st Street Gang, and many more subsets of the Mara Salvatrucha. Remnants of a larger Playboys-13 set separated and moved to different areas, on the East side formed the now known as the Brogue Avenue Playboys 13 are more ethnically diverse, as their members consist of different races such as Mexican-American, and Black-Mexican.
The Brogue Avenue Playboys 13 follow the same representation as other subsets of the Playboys-13, as they all represent the Playboy Bunny Logo to depict them being Conejos, the bunny appeals towards the Pop culture and are more idealized as it was adapted by the older generations. Moreover, the different variations of the Playboy Bunny Logo are all widespread in their culture, as most of the time they have tattoos of the Playboy Bunny on different parts of their body, most commonly their back with the words “Playboys” or a tattoo of the Playboy Bunny embedded on their back. Furthermore, their graffiti consists of substantial amounts of the Playboy Bunny, along with the letters ‘PBS-13’ or ‘Play Boys Gang’. As the Brogue Avenue Playboys are an subset from the more larger Playboys-13 set, they follow the same clothing code as they represent the color Blue, and predominantly have extrusive usage of the Pittsburgh Pirates Jersey, or the Pirates Hat as the “P” that's displayed on the hat refers to the gangs name, “The Playboys 13.” On the other hand, due to the fact that they’re Sureños, they follow the same representation regulations as the older generations of the Playboys 13, unlike their adversaries such as other Playboy sets in Los Santos. In addition, the Brogue Avenue Playboys have a more ethic diversity, however follow the same code set by older generations of the Playboys, as their members are predominantly Mexican-American and on some occasions, Black-Mexican. Members of the Playboy’s set can be traced back to the early 2000’s as they were active on their territory, on par with the fact that they controlled most of the Territory that were contested by opposition sets, they had a substantial presence online during the era of MySpace, as pictures of the gang and graffiti was posted all over the early internet idealized the gang and worked exponentially towards the Playboys 13’s representation. Furthermore, with the large presence that they had online, came the rival sets who were exhaustive when it came to disrespecting the Playboys 13 over feuds such as dead Playboy members, and disrespecting the gang in general hence the name ‘Peanut-Butters’ that arose and was popularized to diss the set. This large spread culture of the Playboys brought attention towards the authorities, as Locals would report gunshots on the Playboys territory on a daily basis giving the LAPD an idea on how deadly and violent they were when it came towards carrying out illegal activities. Members of the Playboys show respect to their gang, as they portray the Playboy Bunny with their gang signs, in particular they combine their pinky finger and ring finger as they use their middle and index finger to make the ears, to combine it all they press the combination of the ring and the pinky with the thumb, leaving the index finger and the middle finger out for the ears forming the Playboy Logo.
The Brogue Avenue Playboys 13 kept their original neighborhood on the Brogue Avenue Strip, as many cliques of the Playboy Surenos have joined and regrouped itself to revive the presence and influence of the neighbourhood. Members of the Playboys are known to represent a Black and Brown house towards the end of the Brogue Avenue strip, near the road of the Parking Complex towards the left of the street. In addition, the Playboys 13 are pushing forward to take control and dominate over the full Brogue Avenue strip as they gain power by selling narcotics, and making alliances with any other set that follows the same Surenos style code, or any original cliques to put down smaller crews. In addition, over the years the set has gone towards a more anonymous profile as their members and higher ranks are unknown to locals and towards any force who can make a jurisdiction towards members of the Playboys set. The online presence of the Playboys have gone defunct as they have ideas to bring back the more official and legitimate infrastructure brought up by the earlier Playboys.
