The West Boulevard Crips is one of the most significant street gangs within Los Angeles originated around West Blvd and 29th Street as a predominant African American street gang. The West Blvd Crips was believed to be created by an ex-member of the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips who had relocated to Hyde Park area in the 70s. Their territory is bounded by Crenshaw Blvd in the east to La Brae Avenue in the west and to the Santa Monica 10 Freeway in the north to Exposition Blvd in the south.
The West Blvd Crips have a sub-set known as the 64 West Blvd Crips who actually share part of their turf with the Rollin 60’s Neighborhood Crips, the 64 West Blvd Crips hood is located around West Blvd between 64 Street and Hyde Park Blvd.
This gang is known to fall under the “Deuce” the Deuce or 2x card is an alliance reference to various street gangs that are affiated with the Neighborhood Crips along with a few other gangs like the Rollin O's card which is one of West Blvd Crips allies, Majority of the sets affiated with the Deuce card are produced by the West side Crips gang.
